Published climate record

A climate record with a stated boundary

Start with the dates, measured footprint, offsets, and goals in the linked record.

Read the date first

A past disclosure is evidence for its stated period

The linked Climate Active statement covers a past period and a set of Australian firms. By itself, it does not prove current status or progress against the goals.

How to read the record

Follow the accounting path in order

This keeps measured emissions, plans, and offsets out of one broad claim.

  1. BoundaryCheck the entities, operations, and dates included.
  2. InventoryReview the measured sources and stated footprint.
  3. ReductionsSeparate future targets from completed results.
  4. OffsetsCheck the units retired, then look for a newer update.
Published targets

Targets in the statement are not completed results

The statement lists goals through 2030 for travel, ICT, and professional services. It does not show that those goals were met.

TravelRoad travel and flights appear in the reduction plan.
SuppliersICT and professional services appear in the plan.
ReviewA newer disclosure is needed to assess later progress.
Client-work boundary

Platform reporting is not proof of a project outcome

Microsoft has its own climate report. It covers Microsoft’s goals and results. It does not measure Data-Driven or prove that client work cut emissions.

The service directory gives a broad view of our work. Each scope should say if and how a climate measure will be tested.
